Little Bit About Us
In the early 80's we noticed a big shift in people choosing DJs over
bands. After discussing this with hundreds of brides and grooms we
discovered a few interesting things which has helped our business
considerably while too many other bands just quit the business all
together. - "If you can't beat 'em, Join 'em!" First
we discovered that a lot of people would love to have a band - but
couldn't afford it, secondly we learned that a shift in the music
that was played while they were in college or high school was provided
by a DJ, not a band, so they didn't have  the
experience of knowing the energy that comes with live music. And
of course the old standby excuse - "I want to hear the record
or the CD, just the way I know it and like it."
So
after taking all of this and much more in to consideration, we ventured
into the area that most bands would consider dangerous. We started
to offer people a combination of Live Music with DJ included. Most
bands would not consider this because they might be afraid that
the people might want the DJ more than the band. But what we discovered
is that by offering people the best of both worlds we could actually
include almost anything under the sun. Instead of handing people
a songlist of 2 or more pages, now we can say if it's on record,
CD, TV or the Internet, we can get it for you or we will learn it.
It's that simple. We also kept the price of all our packages very
affordable so that we could appeal to all kinds of party situations.
By not using an agency or agent we have been able to keep our prices
much lower than our competition. And thank God, after almost 3000
parties, we haven't had to rely on one, so we must be doing something
right.
 In
the last few years we have found, our biggest appeal is to people
who are torn over pleasing themselves, their fiance's, their friends,
or their parents. Aboutime gives them the possibilities of pleasing

we take great pride in our talent and our experience of performing,
